Yom Chamishi, 14 Sivan 5773

Social Action is an integral part of Judaism.  While many of us contribute routinely to tzedakah (charitable giving), not as many of us are able to take the time to do gemilut hasadim (acts of kindness).  Many of our children have not seen this modeled for them enough to learn to value it.  Therefore, we are setting up monthly opportunities for people of all ages to work together on gemilut hasadim by participating in various types of community service.

Typically, we will meet at the temple and drive down together.  You may participate in as many of these events as you like—or just one.  You may bring as many family members as you like—or come by yourself!

We are in the process of setting up events.  If you have a community service connection or would like to help set up other events, please contact me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .

Let’s start working together to help others--a few hours at a time!
